Ekâh-kwîwîstahâw - Cree for “He Flies Around”

In 2020, Kahkewistahaw First Nation (KFN) acquired the Babcock & Wilcox steel fabrication facility in Melville, SK, to create Kihew FabCo, with the goal of providing a full design and fabrication solution for industry and government.

KFN is proud to offer a full suite of design, fabrication and welding services at its state of the art fabrication facility through consistently delivered quality work while creating employment opportunities and mentorship-based training for First Nations people across Canada.

Training

Kahkewistahaw and KIHEW FabCo. have partnered on developing the leading First Nations steel fabrication training center in Canada. As part of the Partnership, KIHEW FabCo. will deliver mentorship-based training to First Nations trainees at the the fabrication facility in Melville, SK.

Training opportunities will be open to all individuals and will focus on the delivery of quality steel fabrication workmanship.
